DAY 01 : COCHIN
Arrive Cochin by flight or train. On arrival, transfer to the City Hotel. Go for a short sight seeing tour of Cochin. Overnight at the resort.

Known as the queen of the Arabian Sea is one of the most interesting cities of India and has one of the finest natural harbors in the world. St Francis Church, built in 1510 by friars brought to India by Vasco da Gama, is the first European church built in India and is the site where da Gama was buried. The Jewish Synagogue was built in 1568, Chinese hand-painted tiles are one of the attraction. This, the only Synagogue in India has a nostalgic past of a Jewish Diaspora. The "Dutch Palace" was built in the 1550s; the palace contains excellent mythological murals and a rare example of traditional Keralite flooring - a subtle mix of burnt coconut shells, lime, plant juices and egg whites - which gives the effect of polished marble.

DAY 02 : COCHIN – MUNNAR
Morning, after breakfast, proceed to Munnar, (4.5 Hrs) known as nature lover’s paradise. Enjoy the sight seeing places of Munnar. Overnight at the resort

Munnar, the nature-lover’s paradise, snuggling in the green and serene Kannan Devan Hills lies the quite and restful resort of Munnar, at an altitude of 1524 m and 136 km off Cochin. DAY 03 : MUNNAR
Full day sight seeing of Munnar. Visit, Mattupetty, Top Station, Kundala etc.. Overnight at the Resort.

Visit Eravikulam National Park known for the Nilgiri Thar, an endangered species and Mattuppetty dam. Visit tea plantation and tea factory, to watch tea being picked, to learn how tea is processed, smell the sweet scent of tea wafting through the air and buy the tea directly from the gardens.

DAY 05 : THEKKADY – KUMARAKOM
After breakfast checkout from the hotel, you will be driven for Kumarakom. Check in at the Resort. Overnight at the hotel.

Kumarakom is a beautiful & a pleasant village on the Vembanad Lake. This small backwater world is an enchanting backwater destination. It has unimaginable beautiful mangrove forests, coconut grooves, & lush green paddy fields which are covered with shimmering watery ways & canals. It is a diamond in India's ecological crown, despite being one of the smallest parks in the country. DAY 06 : HOUSEBOAT

About half a kilometer away from the mainland, Vivekanad Memorial is perched on one of two rocks separated by about 70 meters. Built in 1970, the memorial is dedicated to Swami Vivekananda, India's greatest social reformer. This was the rock on which Vivekanand meditated in his quest to know the truth and enlightenment. Today this memorial has a meditation room, where you can sit in peace and reflect. The memorial has a stature of Swami Vivekanand and it also houses the different styles of temple architecture from across India.

DAY 09: KOVALAM

Catamaran Cruises on the country raft is hugely popular in Kovalam. Many marine activities are possible at Kovalam. The local fishermen provide sunrise and sun set cruises in fishing boats. Kochi (Kochi) is palm-green commercial town of Kerala and the city consists of the mainland Ernakulam, Willingdon Island, Mattancherry, Fort Cochin, Vypeen Island and Bolghatty Island. Ernakulam is the modern city where shopping market, bazaar etc are located. From time immemorial, Arab, Chinese, Dutch and British and Portuguese seafarers followed the sea route to Kochi and left their impression on the town. Day 07 : Cochin - Athirapilly

The falls are very popular with tourists. Athirappally is located 78 kms from Kochi, located at the entrance to Sholayar ranges, this waterfall is a popular picnic spot. Affording to the onlookers, one of the most bewitching sights, Athirappally Falls is about 80ft. high and located in the forest area. Combined with the greenery, it infuses freshness into any tired soul. The Athirapally Falls join the Chalakkudy River after plummeting a drop of 80 feet. Ootacamund or Ooty is situated in Nilgiri Mountains near Tri Junction of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala. Ooty is the only hill station in india which attracts visitors during all seasons. It is one of the most popular hill resorts in southern India at an elevation of 7216 ft. above sea-level, her moods change with every season, but each of her moods is hospitable to the visitor. This natural charm, several attractions compel the tourist to stay on for extended periods with comfort. The first British came to Ooty in 1812. He was followed by a few hundred European missionaries, educationist and civil servants. Finally, the hill stations attracted many Europeans so much so that it became the summer capital of the then vast Madras presidency, or the present Tamil Nadu State, which consisted of 75% of what we call South India today. Soon, Indian princes or Maharajas (who were the ruler of various areas and territories throughout India and industrialists built their palaces and mansions. The first inhabitants of this land were a tribe called Todas who had been living here long before the British came in the early nineteenth century. But the credit for modernising Udhagamandalam and making it accessible goes to the British who constructed the first railway line in the area and made it the summer capital of the Madras Presidency. Todas antedated all explorers to the Nilgiris by a great margin of time. Mr. John Sullivan discovered Ooty in 1820. He built a permanent house at Nilgiri Hill and this was the beginning. Soon several other British officers built their summer houses. Horses, pony bullock cart and tonga were transportation modes at that time.

The 15 km long golden Beach is very clean, shallow and is ideal for swimming, surfing and sunbathing. The surrounding hill slopes are covered with orderly rows of tea bushes, the plantations amongst the highest in the world stretch for miles only interrupted by pockets of forests teeming with local fauna and flora.

DAY 02 : MUNNAR
Full day sight seeing of Munnar. Visit, Mattupetty, Top Station, Kundala etc.. Overnight at the Resort.

The economy of the Munnar region is heavily dependent on the cultivation of tea, coffee and over twelve varieties of absolutely fragrant spices like sweet cinnamon, spicy cloves and peppercorns and delicate nutmeg. The climate in Munnar is basically cool partly because of the altitude and green ambience and partly due to the very heavy monsoons from June to September. Amongst the unusual flowers that grow here is the Neelakurinji that blooms once every twelve years and bathes the entire area in a beautiful blue colour.

DAY 03 : MUNNAR - THEKKADY
Today, you will be transferred to Periyar, the famous wildlife destination of Kerala. Enjoy the wildlife beauty of Periyar. Overnight at the resort.

Lying close to the plantations, in the rich jungles of Periyar in Thekkady is one of the world’s most fascinating natural wildlife reserves - the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Spread across 777 sq. km, of which 360 sq. km is thick evergreen forest, the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary was declared a Tiger Reserve in 1978. Noted for its geo-morphological diversity of wildlife and scenic beauty, the Reserve attracts visitors from all over the world. The splendid artificial lake formed by the Mullaperiyar Dam across the Periyar River adds to the charm of the park. This is the only sanctuary in India where you can have the unique experience of viewing wildlife at close quarters from the safety of a boat on the lake. The greatest attraction of Periyar remains the large herds of wild elephants that come down to the lake's edge

DAY 04 : THEKKADY – COCHIN DEPARTURE
After breakfast, checkout from the hotel & proceed to Cochin Railway Station or Airport for the departure transfer.
